Monuments are ‘National Heritage’


It is once said that if you want to know the history of a country, look for its monuments.

In practice, any country of the world, old or new, has remains of ancient buildings. Whether they are mosques, cathedrals, synagoges, fortresses, minarets, railway stations, post office or any building which can be categorized as monuments.

These monuments can be best described as work of art by humans. They explain the culture,history, social skills and economy of a country.

A National Monument should be preserved and conserved. They should be declared to be of "National Heritage''. If the land adjoining to the monument is essential to protect it, this land may also be included.

This web site exhibits the national most importance monuments in Aden.

There are many, but because of a limit to the web pages of the site, only the most known and famous monuments are mentioned.

To mention a few are: Sira Fortress (Crater), The Minaret (Crater),
